SUPER Rugby’s form teams flexed their muscle in round 11 with the Brumbies, Highlanders and Hurricanes producing the pick of the performances at the weekend.

The Brumbies may have been up against an under-strength Chiefs outfit but they showed little mercy to Dave Rennie’s side in a brutal 18-point victory at Canberra Stadium.

The standout of that performance was two-try hero Matt Toomua, who is making himself an automatic Wallabies selection with a succession of five-star displays.

But which of Toomua’s teammates made our R11 team of the week and how many Hurricanes were rewarded for a dominant performance against the Reds?News_Rich_Media: Fox Sports rugby union commentator reviews all the weekend's action.

Fox Sports Stats have crunched the numbers and delivered the First XV below.

1. Loosehead Prop - Pauliasi Manu (Chiefs) put in plenty of work during his side’s loss to the Brumbies in Canberra. Manu made the most runs by a prop in the round (11 for 43m) and also chipped in with two tackle busts, one offload and nine tackles.

2. Hooker – Deon Fourie (Stormers) showed the speed that sometimes sees him playing in the backrow with a wonderful break against the Cheetahs. As well as that linebreak Fourie made seven runs (56m), seven tackle busts, a pilfer and seven tackles.

3. Tighthead Prop – Jeffery Toomaga-Allen (Hurricanes) makes the team of the week for the second time this season. Toomaga-Allen had a strong game with the ball against the Reds, making four tackle busts and one offload in his three runs (18m) while also making seven tackles.

4. Second Row – Sam Carter (Brumbies) consistently plays well for the Brumbies and does a mountain of work in defence. Carter again led the team for tackles (17) against the Chiefs, and also made five runs (14m) and one lineout win.News_Image_File: Sam Carter could be a smoky for Wallabies selection.

5. Second Row - Jeremy Thrush (Hurricanes) is another player that has rarely played a bad game this season and he was extremely busy against the Reds. Thrush finished the game with nine runs (46m), one tackle bust, two lineout wins and 10 tackles.

6. Blindside – Jacques Potgeiter (Waratahs) is turning out to be fan favourite at the Waratahs and was one of their best in a disappointing display against the Blues. Potgeiter scored the Waratahs’ only try and also made one linebreak, 12 runs (team high) for 84m, four tackle busts, seven lineout wins and eight tackles.

7. Openside – Jack Lam (Hurricanes) beats out the Cheetahs’ Heinrich Brussow to the No.7 jersey with his all-round effort against the Reds in Wellington. Lam brushed off Reds defenders with ease making six tackle busts in his seven runs (58m), while also making a linebreak, pilfer and five tackles. Matt Hodgson deserves a mention with another solid game for the Force making the most tackles in the round (19), with no misses.News_Rich_Media: The Queensland Reds have gone down 35-21 to the Hurricanes with Cory Jane scoring a hat-trick.

8. No.8 - Liam Messam (Chiefs) made the most runs by any player in the round with 15 (108m) and was one of the Chiefs’ best in their loss to the Brumbies in Canberra. Messam finished with one linebreak, one linebreak assist, an offload, tackle bust and five tackles.

9. Halfback – TJ Perenara (Hurricanes) would be giving All Blacks selectors headaches at halfback with his consistently high performances for the Hurricanes. Perenara has scored tries in back-to-back weeks and three in his past four matches. His performance against the Reds yielded one linebreak, seven runs (29m), two offloads, six tackle busts and four tackles.

10. Fly-half - Matt Toomua (Brumbies) was superb against the Chiefs and is arguably the form No.10 in the competition. Toomua scored his first career Super Rugby double on the weekend and made four runs (45m), two tackle busts and 7 tackles. News_Rich_Media: The ACT Brumbies have produced an impressive performance against the Chiefs, smashing the defending champions 41-23.

11. Left Winger – Willie le Roux (Cheetahs) wears No.11 on his back but is so valuable to the Cheetahs when he steps in at first receiver. Le Roux tore the solid Stormers defence apart, scoring a try and setting up another before finishing with one linebreak, linebreak assist, 6 runs (44m), an offload, three tackle busts and five tackles.

12. Inside centre - Alapati Leiua (Hurricanes) has been a revelation for the Hurricanes since switching from the wing to inside-centre. Leiua ran riot against the Reds making 11 runs (106m), six tackle busts, one linebreak assist, two offloads and eight tackles.

13. Outside Centre - Malakai Fekitoa (Highlanders) had another barnstorming game and his try against the Sharks would have to be the best solo effort of the season so far. Fekitoa has now scored tries in back-to-back weeks and finished the game with 11 runs (138m), three tackle busts, one linebreak and five tackles.

14. Right winger – Cory Jane (Hurricanes) was angry at his teammates for not passing to him with the tryline in sight last week, but they made up for it in round 11 as he secured his first hat-trick in Super Rugby. Jane made two linebreaks, six runs (82m), an offload, two tackle busts and five tackles against the Reds. News_Image_File: Cory Jane picked up his maiden Super Rugby hat-trick in round 11.

15. Fullback – Andre Taylor (Hurricanes) is another Hurricanes player to feature in the team of the week, and is rapidly getting back his form in 2012 that saw him finish the season as the competition’s leading try scorer. Taylor made one try assist, one linebreak assist, 11 runs (145m), two offloads, seven tackle busts, a pilfer and two tackles.
