Port Adelaide no clearer on when injured pair Brad Ebert and Ryan Burton will return to footy

Scans have confirmed Brad Ebert has torn his PCL and Ryan Burton has strained his hamstring but Port Adelaide does not have a return date for them after Sunday’s loss to Brisbane.

'That's garbage that stuff'

Port Adelaide is putting no return date on injured pair Brad Ebert and Ryan Burton after scans confirmed knee and hamstring injuries on Tuesday.

Ebert has torn his posterior cruciate ligament and a club statement said a timeline for his return would be “made clearer in the coming weeks”.

He is expected to miss at least a game but worst case scenario is his season could be over in a cruel blow after his lengthy concussion battle this year.

Burton’s return date will also be known next week as he recovers from what the club said was a hamstring strain on the weekend.

Coach Ken Hinkley on Sunday said it appeared to be more serious than the two weeks he missed when he hurt his hamstring in the Round 8 Showdown.

The Power trains at Alberton on Wednesday before flying to Melbourne on Friday ahead of playing Richmond at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.
