Two weeks into the national rugby championships for the sports most talented young gun, only two teams boast an unblemished record in the series between young guns from Super Rugby clubs.

The Waratahs have set the early pace in the competition with both their U19 and U16 teams undefeated after matches against the Queensland Reds and ACT Brumbies in the opening two rounds.

And in their last outings, both age groups produced record wins in the competition.

Against the Brumbies at their home park on Sunday, the U19 and U16 sides came away with convincing wins.

The 55-15 win in the U19 was the most emphatic of the season so far.

The 51-10 victory in the U16 was also the most emphatic of that competition and also the highest scoreline.

But the coaches of both sides want to see more improvement form their guns who this coming Sunday take on their Melbourne Rebels opposites in Sydney.

NATIONAL U19 RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP, RD 2 RESULTS, SCORERS, LADDER

The Melbourne Rebels beat Western Force 14-10 in their round two match-up.

Joeli Niubalavu and Divad Palu scored for the Rebels with two conversions from Sebastian Sialau making the difference in this game.

Ryan Mcgloin and Ned Slack-Smith scored for Force in a match played in trying wet and windy conditions.

The Gen Blue sides have now won both their matches.

The NSW Waratahs beat the ACT Brumbies 55-15 in the most emphatic win of the season.

Ben Keogh and Syris Schmidt scored the tries for the ACT side and Cullen Gray converted two.

The Tahs had just one multiple try scorer in Clement Halaholo who went over twice.

Other scorers included Charles Worthington, Jack Matthews, Tom Morrison Jackson Ropata and Aaron Dimovitch. Matthews converted six and kicked a penalty

ROUND ONE RESULT WRAP

TEEN STANDOUTS AFTER ROUND TWO

The Queensland Reds had the bye.

The Waratahs lead the ladder with a 2-0 win/loss record followed by the Brumbies 1-1, the Rebels 1-0, Reds 0-1 and Force 0-2.

NATIONAL U16 RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP, RD 2 RESULTS, SCORERS, LADDER

The Waratahs beat the Brumbies 51-10 in the biggest scoreline of scoreline of the 16s event to date.

Talia’uli Latukefu went over for the Brumbies and Sam Chapman converted.

Other scorers for NSW were Leo Jacques (The Scot’s College), Luca Cleverley (Randwick), Henry Seigmeier (St Joseph’s College), Charlie Poynton (Barker College) and Charlie Heidke. Joe Walsh converted three from his five.

The Melbourne Rebels beat Western Force 19-17.

Rebels tryscorers were Jackson Jury and Joseph Vela.

The Rebels were also awarded a penalty try and Finn Mackay made a conversion.

Luke Holt-Brown, Zane Wesley and Josh Whittingham scored the Force’s three tries and Brodie Mainwaring made a conversion.

The Waratahs lead the ladder with a 2-2 win/loss record followed by Force 1-1, Rebels 1-0, Brumbies 0-2 and Reds 0-1.
