Schedule for Day 8 of the Tokyo Olympic Games

Day eight of the Tokyo Olympics promises to provide more medal opportunities for Aussies in the pool, as the athletics action heats up.

Australia’s Olympic team will have more opportunities to add to its medal collection on day eight of the Tokyo Games.

Matthew Temple will compete for a podium finish in the men’s 100m butterfly, while Kaylee McKeown will do the same in the 200m backstroke.

Australia’s women’s hockey team will enter a showdown with Argentina in the Pool B competition, kicking off at 12.45pm, and the men’s water polo team will face off against Spain at 12.30pm.

Aussie doubles pair Ash Barty and John Peers will also be battling it out for a bronze medal in the mixed doubles in the afternoon.
