There could be more Paris Olympics gold on its way back to Australia with a number of big ticket items scheduled for day four.

We were set to get our first look at the Seine as the triathlon takes centre stage in Paris, but high pollution levels have forced the postponement of the men’s event.

Plus even more action in the water, at the urban park and the finale of the women’s rugby sevens at the Stade de France.

Here’s just some of the highlights.

BACK TO BACK: Kaylee McKeown wins Olympics gold in 100m backstroke final

MATT HAUSER*

Men’s Triathlon | 4pm AEST (8am local)

Hauser has carried some incredible form into the Olympics and will be looking to win an Olympic medal that has eluded Australia in triathlon for some time. Alongside Luke William, the Aussies will be looking to make a statement early on day four.

* We’ll have to wait another 24 hours to see Hauser in action after the postponement of the men’s triathlon

TARA RIGNEY

Women’s Single Sculls Quarterfinals | 5.30pm AEST (9.30am local)

Rigney produced the second-fastest time in the heats and is looking primed for a medal charge in the single sculls event. It’s a big three days coming up, but if she can perform in the quarterfinal it could give her the confidence to go all the way.

KAYLEE MCKEOWN

Women’s 100m backstroke final | 4.56am AEST (8.56pm local)

McKeown put her name into the record books as an Olympic champion in Tokyo, but she hasn’t had it all her own way leading up to Paris. America’s Regan Smith has arguably been in better form, but the Aussie loves saving her best for the big stage and this will be no exception.

LOGAN MARTIN

Men’s BMX Park qualification | 11.12pm AEST (3.12pm local)

Martin is the reigning Olympic champion from Tokyo and never leaves any stone unturne din his preparation. However, he’s now the hunted going into Paris and his gold medal is back on the table. An impressive showing in qualification should propel him straight back into favouritism for Wednesday’s final.

JESS FOX

Women’s C1 Heats | 11pm AEST (3pm local)

Fresh off her gold medal in the K1 event, Fox will throw all her attention into defending her C1 crown from Tokyo. She’s riding high on a wave of confidence after a flawless final performance in the K1 on Sunday. She’ll look to make an early statement in the heats yet again.

BOOMERS

Group A match v Canada | 9pm AEST (1pm local)

The Boomers showed they mean business with a dominant win over Spain in their first match, a team who have caused them so many troubles in the past. Canada are certainly one of the stronger basketball sides in the world but the Aussies are eyeing off the podium again. An intriguing match-up but the in-form Boomers will be up for it.

WOMEN’S RUGBY 7s

Semi finals + Finals

The Aussie women’s sevens side have been impeccable to start their Olympic campaign and are deserved gold medal favourites. Knockout matches are a different beast, but with pace to burn and strength all across the park, you’d be brave to bet against them repeating their gold medal performance from Rio in 2016.
