Karl Stefanovic and family live it up in Paris during 2024 Olympics

TV host Karl Stefanovic and his family are enjoying the perks of his work trip to the Paris Olympics.

Life in Paris is full of perks for Karl Stefanovic and his family.

The Nine host and wife Jasmine have promoted Airbnb on their social feeds after being invited by the holiday rental app to stay for free during his work trip for the Olympic Games.

The couple also posted from ritzy Parisian restaurant Girafe, which boasts views of the Eiffel Tower on its terrace, and where Nine hosted its corporate guests as part of a lavish itinerary.

Jasmine has thanked Nine several times for tickets to the picturesque beach volleyball, seats at the swimming and for the glamorous dinner. “La Girafe with you,’’ Jasmine posted on Monday with a heart. “thank you @channel9 for a beautiful dinner.”

Some followers left comments on Jasmine’s post, which have since disappeared, about reading the room while the company’s print journalists have gone on strike over pay disputes and recent redundancies.

The couple is staying at their comfortable accommodation and living like locals at their “home away from home” with their daughter Harper, 4, and Stefanovic’s daughter Willow, 19.

Karl, who is broadcasting with Today co-host Sarah Abo, wrote on Instagram: “Late nights and early mornings for this proud Aussie in Paris. So grateful to be here covering the Paris 2024 Olympic Games @Olympics and it’s such a joy to have my family stay here with me thanks to @airbnb I honestly can’t wait to see our team do their thang. Go Australia #airbnbpartner”.

Jasmine also thanked Airbnb for hosting their stay.

“A beautiful welcome to Paris by @airbnb thank you for hosting us during the Olympics. We’ve made such amazing family memories already. It truly feels like a home away from home #airbnbpartner”.

Stefanovic co-hosted the opening ceremony with Allison Langdon and Todd Woodbridge.

A Nine spokesperson said: “Karl is staying at the same accommodation as Nine staff. He has a young family is working difficult hours and they were offered an Airbnb as Jasmine has also partnered with them.”

Nine’s exorbitant spending and the flaunting of sponsored content has incensed those journalists in the print arm striking.
