The South Sydney Rabbitoh superstar took issue with the 42-year-old and asked him to step outside a Sydney restaurant on Wednesday night.

On Thursday Sailor revealed he had a similar moment with Mitchell where the NRL star approached him inside a pub.

“I understand where Latrell is coming from,” Sailor said on Triple M’s The Rush Hour.

“Latrell is a person who isn’t going to step back. In the pre-season Latrell had the same sort of thing with me. He said if I could be a bit more positive in and around the game.

“I was at a pub and Latrell brought it up with me. He wasn’t being aggressive with me. But just asked me to be a bit more positive.

“Just said that I had a job to do and nothing personal, it’s my opinion.

“I said, ‘I’m a fan of you Latrell but when things happen, I get asked for an opinion’, like Braith.

“I don’t think it’s personal with Braith on Latrell. I respect that Latrell can come talk to us and have that opinion.”

Sailor’s comments come after Mitchell confronted Anasta on Wednesday night while both NRL figures were dining at Sydney restaurant Chin Chin.

The two were seen engaging in conversation before Mitchell reportedly asked the TV host to step outside where he is said to have questioned him on why he was making matters personal with his views.

The exchange between the pair was animated but never turned physical.

Both the Rabbitohs and Anasta’s employer Fox Sports had no comment in relation to the matter when contacted by news.com.au.

The criticism of the Rabbitohs has come in thick and fast throughout the 2024 NRL season with the club languishing in last place on the ladder.

Through the opening nine rounds their only win came in round four when they defeated the Canterbury Bulldogs 20-16.

They’ve currently lost 15 out of their previous 20 matches and became the first club to concede at least 28 points eight times through nine matches of an NRL season.

Mitchell has been at the centre of harsh criticism which magnified after he was handed a three-week suspension following the club’s round five encounter against the Warriors in early April.

The powerful fullback has been repeatedly criticised for a perceived lack of effort and conditioning throughout the season, with many calling for him to be moved back to the centres.

In early May, coach Jason Demetriou was sacked after a club board meeting was called to decide his fate.
