Fox Sports to fix camera on Jarryd Hayne during first Titans game
SPORT CONFIDENTIAL: TO mark Jarryd Hayne’s NRL return, a camera will be fixed on the star for the entire 80 minutes of the Titans match against the Warriors.

FOX Sports will for the first time embrace “Jarryd-cam’’ when the Hayne Plane makes his debut for the Gold Coast on Sunday.
To mark the big occasion, an extra camera will be fixed on Hayne for the entire 80 minutes of the 2pm match against the Warriors.
Foxtel viewers will be able to press the red button on their remote controls, which will show exclusive footage of Hayne during the game, including any warm-ups and off-the-ball action.
A record 470,000 viewers tuned in to watch the Titans draw with Cronulla on the pay-TV network on Monday night against Cronulla. A new mark is expected to be set again when the season’s biggest signing runs out against the Warriors.

BIG BUCKS: Hayne’s wage-per-game more than Origin
Queensland Origin coach Kevin Walters will be one of the commentators who gets the first close-up look of the Hayne — the man who could single-handedly destroy Walters’ Maroons again next year.
“There’s going to be a lot of interest in Jarryd, and after record ratings for a Titans game on Monday, we might set another record for them on a Sunday afternoon.
“There are a lot of different emotions from fans about Jarryd.’’
It remains to be seen if “Jarryd-cam’’ continues beyond his comeback game, which will be from the Gold Coast bench. The call of the game will continue if viewers switch to Jarryd-cam.
Fox are the big winners when it comes to Hayne’s signing given the Titans’ final five games of the regular season will all be shown on the pay-TV network instead of Channel 9.
“I wish we could put that down to good planning, but it was the luck of the draw,’’ Fox Sports head of live sport Steve Crawley said.
Gold Coast host the Warriors, followed by Hayne’s clash against the Wests Tigers — and fullback James Tedesco — on Saturday week at Campbelltown.
The Titans then face Newcastle, Penrith and North Queensland in the final round.
That same night Fox will also show the Melbourne-Cronulla final-round blockbuster, a game that was understandably not picked up by Nine at the start of the season when games were being selected by the TV networks, but may now likely determine the minor premiership.
The only other time Fox provided viewers with a special red-button option was to listen to an Eddie McGuire call of an AFL match.
Walters was delighted to see Hayne back in rugby league, despite knowing he will boost the Blues.
“It’s great. He’s living in Queensland now. Where was he born?’’ Walters quipped.
“This is a great initiative by Fox. It will be very well received.
“It will be great from a coaching point of view and an analyst’s point of view because you will see how he positions himself and where he plays.
“As a player you always feel you’re on show, but with the camera on Jarryd, he’ll be aware of it and will make it a bit extra special for him. I’m expecting big things from him.’’
