THE NRL dropped a bombshell on Tuesday night when they added five new players to rugby league’s most exclusive club.

Dally Messenger, Frank Burge, Dave Brown, Mal Meninga and Norm Provan were all added as the Immortals went from eight members to 13 in a single night.

It was a bold call to say the least — no more than two Immortals at a time have been inducted since the concept began in 1981.
