MAROONS star Greg Inglis has accepted a three-week ban for a contentious shoulder charge that left NSW counterpart Josh Dugan with a broken jaw.
Inglis was cited after a hit on Blues centre Dugan after a kick. The initial contact looked innocuous but he has since copped three weeks on the sidelines after taking the early guilty plea to a grade two shoulder charge.
Scans on Thursday morning confirmed Dugan had suffered a broken jaw that requires surgery, with the Dragons star out for an estimated 4-6 weeks.
Inglis won’t return for the struggling Rabbitohs until their round 22 clash with Melbourne.
Retiring Queensland legend Corey Parker is also facing a ban for his contact on James Tedesco in a tackle. He’ll miss one week with an early plea.
