Josh Manosur re-signs with Penrith until the end of the 2021 season

BULLOCKING winger Josh Mansour has re-signed with Penrith until the end of the 2021 season, a deal which will make him a 10-year player for the Panthers.

HE may not return from injury until Round 20 but Panthers winger Josh Mansour still took centre stage on Panthers Stadium.

Moments before the big game against Wests Tigers, Panthers general manager Phil Gould walked out to announce Mansour had signed a new three-year deal.

Mansour then took to the field to robust applause from excited Panthers fans.

It ended on-going speculation about Mansour’s future.

And The Daily Telegraph can reveal Wests Tigers centre Kevin Naiqama may quit the club for Super League after this season.

English sources claim Naiqama is close to signing a three-year deal with St Helens.

Mansour, 27, will probably only sign one more contract in his career.

“I’m extremely grateful and excited to have committed my future to Panthers,” Mansour said.

“This club has given me everything and shaped me into the person I am today, on and off the field.

“While I had to consider my options, my overwhelming desire was to stay at Panthers as my heart has always been with this club.

“I feel I’ve still got unfinished business here and I can’t wait to serve the club for another three years.”

Mansour is admired and adored at Penrith.

A former Kangaroos winger, Mansour played his juniors at Souths before joining Penrith in 2012.

He has scored 55 tries in his 108 games for the club. Mansour has also represented NSW, City and Lebanon.

In a club statement, Gould said: “I want Josh Mansour to be a part of Panthers for the rest of his life. I can give him no greater accolade.

“His contributions both on and off the field have been nothing short of outstanding.”

Mansour is sidelined with facial fractures.
