Six rounds into the new season, and already the NRL has turned into an ugly mess again — with the edict given to referees to swallow the whistle backfiring because of coaches’ determination to cheat, writes PAUL KENT.

Rich call from Dragons after questionable win

Arguably, the Dragons only won their clash against the Sea Eagles because referees refused to blow the whistle. Bizarrely, though, it is St George Illawarra’s stars now saying a lack of legitimate penalties is ruining the game.

Norman rockets into Origin contention

Dragons confirm new deal for McGregor

St George Illawarra have re-signed coach Paul McGregor until the end of the 2021 NRL season, giving him the chance to become the longest serving coach of the joint venture.
