THE Broncos have suffered a massive blow on Friday morning, with Korbin Sims ruled out for the season with a broken arm.
The Brisbane prop hurt his right forearm in Thursday’s shocking loss to Parramatta, but Broncos medical staff originally hoped it was just a deep muscle bruise.
However, scans on Friday have revealed Sims has fractured his arm and will undergo surgery today.
The injury means Sims will not play again for the Broncos this season, which is a big blow to their finals hopes moving forward.
Brisbane have plenty of depth, but will now have to rely on a young forward to join Adam Blair in the starting side for the remainder of the season.

Broncos high performance manager Jeremy Hickmans said it will be a six week recovery for Sims, which means he could return in time to play for Fiji in the World Cup — but his season with Brisbane is over.
Despite the loss, Brisbane will be boosted by the return of Joe Ofahengaue from suspension this week while Tevita Pangai Jr is also expected to make a comeback from a hamstring injury for Brisbane’s final match of the regular season against the Cowboys.
