NRL announce 2017 draw

IF you fail to plan, you plan to fail … so the saying goes!

And if you’re a Supercoach you know we are talking about the bye period, the thorn in your team’s backside.

The two-month period between you and Supercoach glory.

Every Supercoach knows that the bye period can make or break your team’s season.

So with the 2017 draw finally released, we take an early look at how best to navigate your way through the toughest part of the year.

OK, let’s start by looking at who will likely provide the best coverage over the two-month periods the bye weekends will happen.

And there’s some good news with two very SuperCoach relevant teams playing all three major rounds.

The major three bye rounds are 12, 15 and 18 and the Bunnies and the Eels will provide Supercoaches with some relief over this period.

One thing to note is that the Rabbitohs do have the weekend off right after the first big bye in round 13.

So stacking your team with too many Bunnies may leave you unexpectedly short in round 13. The Eels have their first bye in round 16.

The Panthers and the Sea Eagles will have completed their byes by round 15, meaning players will be available for the rest of the bye period, including the difficult round 18 bye.

The Broncos, Warriors, Roosters, Raiders and Bulldogs will get you through until mid-June, with their first byes to come in round 15.

We’ve broken down every bye round in our nifty table below:
