An Australian Schoolboys talent who played alongside NRL stars Sam Walker, Reece Walsh, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Toby Sexton, Max Feagai and Jackson Topine will make his first-grade debut for Canberra.

Hard-running forward Trey Mooney will achieve his boyhood dream after Raiders coach Ricky Stuart called the 20-year-old with the news on Tuesday.

Mooney was a member of the star-studded 2019 Australian Schoolboys team that beat the Junior Kiwis.

The former Parramatta Eels junior has also represented the NSW under-16 and under-18’s.

He has progressed through the Raiders NSW Cup side this season in impressive fashion.

Mooney will be part of the Raiders final 17 to tackle the Roosters in Canberra on Sunday.
