Reece Walsh shares heartwarming moment with daughter Leila Walsh after brutal Origin knockout

After Reece Walsh was forced from the field in the early moments of the State of Origin opener after a shocking high tackle, the Queensland star shared a heartwarming moment with his daughter Leila on the sideline.

It was a nervy moment for Queensland and Brisbane fans as Reece Walsh was wiped out by Joseph Aukuso-Suaalii in the opening moments of State of Origin, forcing the star fullback off the field.

No one would’ve hated the sight more than daughter Leila, who was in the crowd at Accor Stadium.

Thankfully, Walsh is ok after the sickening collision, sharing a heartwarming moment of reassurance with his daughter and no.1 fan.

Earlier, the daughter of star Queenslad fullback was spotted running around the training paddock with her dad, testing Maroons middle Patrick Carrigan’s shoulders with some cuddles, and even making Harry Grant smile after a battle with illness.

The unofficial Broncos mascot seems to have picked up another role in Queensland rugby league, this time with the 2024 Maroons squad.

Becoming somewhat of a secret weapon for every team she is seen with, Leila is quickly developing a strong following, and becoming not only a fan favourite at the Broncos, but the entire NRL.

After making countless appearances this season already watching the Broncos from the stands, expect little Leila to be motivating her Dad and his team from the sidelines during this year’s Origin series.
