THE Queensland team has been picked and tonight the New South Wales hierarchy will name their side with a host of fresh faces for the opening match of this year’s State of Origin series.

Brad Fittler will hit the reset button on the New South Wales team and welcome a fresh batch of debutants that have not been haunted by the dominance of the Maroons who have won 11 of the past 12 series.

There will be some old faces such as James Maloney but nobody could criticise his selection alongside rising star Nathan Cleary who have played a huge role in taking the Penrith Panthers to the top of the table.

A blues team to win Origin

They will come up against a fresh pairing in the Queensland halves with Ben Hunt to join forces with Cameron Munster.

Not that these two are mugs but I think this is the halves combination to dominate State of Origin for years.

Apart from the new players, Blues fans will be brought even closer to the action through BluiE, the world’s first bionic Blatchy Blue.

BLUiE who will be joined by Blues legend Paul Sironen will be an integral member of the NSW Blues squad in 2018, providing real time footage from inside the Blues camp across all three games.
