Parramatta has started searching for another game breaker now that halfback Mitch Moses has agreed to a new $6m deal at the club.
With Moses, Will Penisini and Dylan Brown nailed down, the Eels now know exactly how much room the club has available in their salary cap.
Parramatta has three spots left in their playing roster and is exploring which players the club may target.
The club has conceded it will look for a match winner. That player may play a 14 role or be an outside back.
At present, there aren’t any stand out options although the club said it would be patient in its pursuit.
Parramatta told fullback Clint Gutherson – given he is a senior player and co-captain – of their plan to sign a player that would bring some on-field spark.
Gutherson backed Parramatta’s chase for additional quality to reinforce the club’s roster.
There are no moves to replace or move any players in the current roster and the club isn’t targeting one specific position to bolster.
Parramatta management wouldn’t reveal how much money the club has to spend but the amount is said to be significant.
A game breaker flung into a game late could see an incumbent player shift positions mid-match.
