The NRL world is just days away from the November 1 deadline, which is when clubs can officially start talking to stars entering the final year of their deals. We analyse the 33 players who will define the open market.

November 1 is around the corner and a handful of rugby league’s biggest names are set to hit the open market as they enter the final year of their contracts.

Payne Haas, Harry Grant and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui headline a list that also includes not only many of the game’s elite, but also some of the most promising young players in the game.

With the Perth Bears cashed-up and ready to begin their roster build, the coming weeks threaten to be frenzied as Mal Meninga and his recruitment boss Dane Campbell look to land some big names.

A handful of the game’s young guns are also expected to be in the firing line - North Queensland’s Jaxon Purdue and the Sydney Roosters’ Suia Wong are the most prominent emerging stars poised to hit the open market with rival clubs circling.

This is when the good clubs and powerful agents do their best work.
