The fans have spoken and there’s only one answer when it comes to the question of what is the greatest NRL jersey of all time — and it’s a resounding cry of “up the milk”.
More than 20,000 fans cast their votes in The Daily Telegraph’s poll to crown the best NRL strip ever and Canberra’s 1994 jersey, emblazoned with the iconic Canberra Milk sponsorship, took out top spot.
The Raiders returning to their most iconic look this year, with Canberra Milk back as a major sponsor, is proof of the jersey’s ongoing appeal.
There was a major shock as runner-up with the much-maligned Gold Coast Titans managing to snag the silver medal with their foundation strip from 2007.
The memories of Scott Prince, Mat Rogers and Preston Campbell must resonate stronger in the minds of footy fans than we thought.
Parramatta rounded out the podium with their 1986 jersey, worn when the club won their last premiership, taking home the bronze.

Championship jerseys proved to be popular across the league with Brisbane (1992), Canterbury (1984) and North Queensland (2015) fans all preferring the colours worn when their team was victorious on grand final day.
Penrith fans also saluted a grand final jersey with the iconic Dahdah Uniforms strip from 1991 their preferred choice.
The Panthers are another side who will go back to the future this year, with the club to don a heritage jersey inspired by the ‘91 playing kit in several matches this year.
The Tigers stayed away from the strip that won them their premiership - their 2005 jersey might have been worn during the club’s greatest season but the 2013 heritage jersey, a strip inspired by the Balmain shirts of years past, was preferred by the joint ventures fans.
Manly fans voted overwhelmingly for the 1987 jersey, a classic maroon number with thin white stripes, that is as associated with the Sea Eagles as Cliffy, Bozo and Fatty Vautin.
But not all the favourites got home - Roosters fans overlooked the 1975 City Ford jersey in favour of 1991’s home strip.
Likewise, Melbourne supporters went with the club’s 2019 jersey, a design which honoured the club’s foundation strips from 1998 and 1999, instead of the original jersey itself.
Picking the best Dragons jersey was much of a muchness — there’s only so much you can or should try to do with the iconic red V - but there was a surprise when it came to South Sydney.
The cardinal red and myrtle green bars are a classic look — no less than Andrew Voss himself chose it as the best jersey of all time — but the Rabbitohs faithful chose the 1987 jersey, made famous by the Smith’s Crisps sponsorship, over the more traditional design.
