HIGHLIGHT
Sitting in Section 10, Row AA, Seat 7 for Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor. Free meal tickets. Fantastic airconditioning (it was 42 degrees outside). Sensational atmosphere. No Tony Archer. No refereeing controversy. No bunker blunders.

LOWLIGHT
If you want to risk getting lung cancer, Las Vegas is the place to be. People are allowed to smoke in all the casinos, shopping malls, nightclubs, bars, basically anywhere. The place stinks.
SPOTTED
Waverley College student and Australian under-16s cricketer Mac Jenkins in great seats at the fight with his dad, The Star casino communications boss Peter Jenkins.
SPOTTED II
Former Test cricketer Colin “Funky” Miller, who now lives in Las Vegas and works as a facility manager at one of the major casinos.
SPOTTED III
I’m glad I was working and not drinking alcohol at the T Mobile Arena yesterday. Check out these prices. A beer set you back $19 (Australian). Makes the NRL venue prices reasonable.
NO MADGE-IC CURE
I watched only one NRL game on my laptop while away, the Storm v Rabbitohs. At halftime, commentator Andrew Voss said Souths were trying their hearts out. Even from 13,911km away it was obvious they weren’t. It was pathetic and should cost Michael Maguire his job.
ATTACK DOGS
It’s interesting that Canterbury Bulldogs heavyweights George Peponis and Ray Dib were behind the sacking of NSW Blues coach Laurie Daley. These guys are hardly doing a great job themselves at Belmore. They signed Des Hasler for $2 million then wanted to punt him six weeks later. Plus the salary cap mismanagement.
SHOWTIME STOPPER
Sunday’s fight between was almost too popular for Showtime pay-per-view. It was almost delayed when the feed from Las Vegas crashed due to unprecedented demand.
