CHECK out the highlights, lowlights and talking points from another memorable weekend in sport.
HIGHLIGHT
James Roberts’ sensational try against the Roosters on Friday night. You could nearly call it the Peter Frilingos Dally M moment-of-the-year right now. It will sure take some beating.

LOWLIGHT
Curtis Scott and the right fist he planted on Dylan Walker. You could argue that at least the worst sledger in the game finally copped what he deserved but there is no place in the game for this type of thuggery.
LOWLIGHT II
The penalties when dummy halves purposely throw the ball at defenders trying to get back on side. It has become a blight on the game.
LOWLIGHT III
Beau Scott’s season-ending knee injury at the Parramatta Eels. Sadly we might have seen the last of the tough 34-year-old warrior.
SPOTTED
Preston Campbell, 40, and his son Jayden, 18, playing for the Helensvale Hornets A grade on the Gold Coast on Saturday. They both scored tries.
GRANDSTAND FINISH
Stop the presses. The NSW government is likely to deliver a major project on time. We’re hearing the new stadium at Parramatta is on schedule for an April opening next year.
Now there’s a fight to be sorted out between soccer and rugby league over a launch event. David Gallop and Todd Greenberg both want first use of the 32,000 seat stadium.
SHOOSH
Which big-name Parramatta Eels star is about to be given permission to talk to rival clubs even though he is under contract next year? There is one major issue however — the player is on double the money he could earn elsewhere and is unlikely to get an offer.
BATTLE OF BROOKIE
The Manly Sea Eagles-Melbourne Storm rematch is Round 18 at Brookvale Oval, Saturday July 14, 5.30pm. Get your tickets early. It will be a sellout.
KEN IN THE BIN
Good on the Parramatta Eels for tearing up Kenny Edwards’ contract over his latest driving charge. The NRL should now ensure Edwards is deregistered until he becomes a more decent person.
Catch you on NRL 360 on Monday night with Ben Ikin and Paul Kent to discuss another dramatic round of NRL and the State of Origin selection headaches. Then Controversy Corner with Blocker Roach, Graeme Hughes and Billy Harrigan.
