A female NRL streaker has spoken out as debate rages over whether security were heavy-handed in taking her down.

Titans fan Javon Johanson took the field in just a bra and jeans and was poleaxed by security during the round five clash against the Eels.

Johanson told Seven News: “I got what I deserved. He (the security guard) was doing his job.”

She also told Tammy Barker & Bodge for Breakfast on Triple M Cairns on Monday morning: “I know exactly what I did. It’s been a bucket list thing and when your friends say, ‘I dare you to do it’, you don’t actually think you’re going to do it. It was such a surreal, out-of-body experience,” she said.

“It’s the adrenaline of the crowd. You just hear this big roar and I was like, ‘I need to take off my top now’. I was so close to doing my bra but I was like, ‘No … that’s a bit far’...”

“I used to play AFL and rugby and I have three brothers, so getting tackled was not a problem,” she said.

“The tackle was honestly fine, it was more how much air I got. I guess it just looks so much worse. He could have just grabbed me at that time and I would have fallen over.

“I think it’s fair play. I definitely took what I deserved. He should keep his job.”

Meanwhile, the ARL Commission is expected to hold talks with their venues in coming days after a spate of pitch invasions over the weekend left chair Peter V’landys concerned for the safety of the players.

In the space of 24 hours, five pitch invaders, including Johanson, interrupted the NRL and send shockwaves through Rugby League Central. Four of those invaders were at Pointsbet Stadium on Sunday, where a protestor carrying a flare invaded the field.

The Gold Coast Titans will review footage of a security guard crash-tackling a female intruder during Saturday night’s NRL match on the Gold Coast.

CCTV footage and still photos from the venue show the woman, wearing just jeans and a bra, becoming airborne as she was tackled by an overzealous security guard.

The Titans have agreed that it was an over-the-top reaction.

“There needs to be a review of what happened,” said chairman Dennis Watt.

“From where I was sitting it did seem heavy-handed. It could have been handled better.

“You heard this collective intake of breath around the ground.

“It did seem over the top and it put the intruder at real physical risk.”

The woman was escorted from the ground and faces a heavy fine under stadium rules.

“In general security does a very good job protecting fans and the players,” Watt said.

“The people who run the ground do a fantastic job.

“However on this occasion the fan could have been contained more easily than that without the risk of injury.”

Titans chief executive Steve Mitchell said the woman was not injured.
