Storm v Knights
AAMI Park, Saturday 3pm
STORM WARNING
The Knights have a terrible record in Victoria, losing 14 of 19 matches. At AAMI Park Melbourne have won six of eight matches against the Knights.
SINGLE DIGITS
Newcastle have only held the Storm to single digit points on two of 34 occasions, both times holding Storm to six points.
WINNING
Melbourne will be chasing their 300th win this week in just their 478th match. They have a 62.7 win percentage.
TRENT HODKINSON
He has won his past five games against the Storm, with two tries and five assists in those games. He is yet to miss a goal this season, kicking 10/10
Betting summary: The Knights have been very well supported to cover the 17.5 line
Wests Tigers v Sharks
Campbelltown Stadium, Saturday 5:30pm
HEAD TO HEAD
The Tigers won 13 of 14 games against the Sharks from 2003-12, but have since won just two of five matches.
IT’S THE RIGHT SIDE
Wests Tigers have favoured their right side of attack this season with more than 70 per cent of their tries (12 of 17) coming through this channel, including nine through their far right edge.
HOME SICK
The Sharks have lost both of their away games this season and going back to last year’s final series they have now lost each of their past three away matches.
CAMPBELLTOWN LOVE
David Nofoaluma has eight tries in eight games at Campbelltown, including scoring in each of his past four games at the venue. If he scores this week, he will be just the second Wests Tigers player to score in five straight at the venue, behind Kevin McGuinness who did so in 2000 and 2001. To score a try: $1.90
Betting summary: Cronulla is seeing the support in this match. Cronulla 13+ has also been very popular.
Cowboys v Dragons
1300SMILES Stadium, Saturday 7:30pm
RIDING COWBOY
The Cowboys have won four of the past five meetings between these two sides, including an Origin-affected Round 17 clash in Wollongong last season. In Townsville, the Cowboys have completely dominated this clash, winning seven of nine games.
COWBOYS ATTACK
Six of nine matches have been decided by 20 points or more. The Cowboys have scored 24 points or more in seven of nine matches against the Dragons in Townsville. Total match points: 31-40 $2.70
NO SUNSHINE STATE
The Dragons have a horrible record in the Sunshine State winning just one of their past 10 games north of the border. The Dragons have also lost five straight away matches and have won just one of 11 away games since last season.
ANTONIO WINTERSTEIN
Has scored eight tries in his past eight matches at 1300SMILES Stadium. He has scored three tries in his past three matches against the Dragons. To score + Cowboys to win: $1.85
Betting summary: The support is for the Dragons at the longer odds to cause an upset up in Townsville.
Roosters v Warriors
Central Coast Stadium, Sunday 2pm
HEAD TO HEAD
The Roosters have won their past three matches against the Warriors and are chasing four straight wins against them for the first time.
LOSING STREAK
The Roosters’ current five-game losing streak is their worst since 2011 — they have not lost six straight since their wooden spoon season in 2009.
DEFENCE BARRIER
The Roosters have conceded 22 tries this season, only the Knights (25) have conceded more. The 22 tries are the most the Roosters have ever conceded in the opening four matches of a season.
KATA CAN
Solomone Kata has now scored four tries in four games this season. He also had four through four rounds last season. Kata scored a double in Round 14 last season at home against the Roosters.
Betting summary: The money would suggested the Roosters will finally get their first win of the season as they are seeing majority of the support in the head to head market.
Eels v Panthers
Pirtek Stadium, Sunday 4pm
LUCKY SIX
The Eels won both of matches between these two sides last season, a feat they had not achieved since 2005. Both were decided by exactly 6 points. Parramatta to win by 6 points: $15
HOME BLUES
The Eels have won just two of their past nine games at Parramatta Stadium. However they have been close games with six decided by seven points or less.
JETLAG
Penrith have lost seven straight away games from Penrith — their longest away losing streak since 2002 — and have won just two of 14 designated away games in 2015-16
GOOD RECORD
Brad Arthur has won three of his four matches against Penrith. He has also won both his matches against rival coach Anthony Griffin — in 2012 and 2014 — with victories over Brisbane.
Betting summary: Money is running 50/50 for this game in the head to head market.
Bulldogs v Raiders
Belmore Sports Ground, Monday 7pm
DOG BITE
The Bulldogs have won their past three and seven of 10 matches against the Raiders since 2009.
MONDAY VICTORY
The Bulldogs have won six of their past seven Monday Night Football matches, the five most recent of those wins all by 16 points or larger margins.
HISTORY REPEATING?
If the Bulldogs win this week history suggests they will be in for a strong season. In the 17 previous occasions they have won four of their opening five matches they have gone on to make the grand final 10 times, including winning on six occasions.
HASLER v STUART
Des Hasler has a fantastic coaching record against Ricky Stuart winning 13 of their 15 meetings including each of the past nine games.
Betting summary: In the head to head the Bulldogs are seeing the support. Curtis Rona is also best backed in the first tryscorer market.
