Warriors v Newcastle
Mt Smart Stadium, Monday 2:05pm
CLOSE SHAVE
The Warriors have won eight of the past 11 matches, with five of these wins by 12 points or less. The past three matches have been decided by 10 points or less, with two of them by six points or less. Warriors 1-12 $3.25, Newcastle 1-12 $5.25.
WARRIOR WOES
If the Warriors lose, it will be the first time in club history that they have lost their first four matches to open a season.
HOME SICK
The Knights have won just two of their past 12 and seven of their past 27 matches away from home.
KEEPING THE FAITH
Andrew McFadden is under immense pressure to win this match. On the back of losing an equal club record of 11 matches, he has an overall winning record of 41%. However, he has won two of four matches against the Knights, with both wins coming at Mt Smart Stadium.
Betting summary: The Warriors are the favoured side with the Punters to get their first win of the season
Tigers v Eels
ANZ Stadium, Monday 4pm
EASTER MONDAY
The Eels have a poor record on Easter Monday, winning just five of 16 matches.
SEMI TRAILER
Semi’s two tries last week bought his total up to 50 in just 52 matches. He has scored three tries in two games against the Tigers and he has scored 11 tires in nine games at ANZ Stadium.
To score a try $2.20
VENUE HOODOO
This is just the sixth time the Eels have played at ANZ Stadium in consecutive games. They have not won back to back matches there since 2010.
ONE TO WATCH
Kevin Naiqama has scored four tries in his past two games including a hat-trick last weekend against the Titans. He has a great record against the Eels having scored four tries in four games against them.
Betting summary: Punters like what they saw in the Eels last week and backing them to get consecutive wins this weekend.
Sharks v Storm
Southern Cross Group Stadium, Monday 7pm
STORM WARNING
The Sharks have a horrible record against Melbourne, winning just one of their past 11 matches – although seven of those losses have come in Melbourne.
SCORE CARD
Scoring has been an issue for Cronulla in these games. They have been held to single figures on six occasions and being held to less than 20 points in all 11 matches.
MONDAY MISERY
Cronulla’s Monday night record since 2007 is only 10 wins from 34 games – the second worst record of any teams, with the Dragons being the worst. Melbourne only won three of eight Monday nightgames they played last season.
TOHU TRY
Tohu Harris has scored three tries in four matches against the Sharks, winning all four games.
To score a try: $2.60
Betting summary: Punters can’t split these two sides in the head to head with money split 50/50
