NRL 2016: Our experts check out the Round 8 teams and offer their tips

SEE who our panel of expert tippers have taken and who they’re marking as upsets heading into the Anzac round of NRL matches.

AFTER a near-perfect Round 7 of tipping, Paul Kent has edged his way to the top of the tipsters heap, the Warriors getting the best of the Bulldogs the only result he missed last week.

One tipster had a particularly bad run last week, finishing with just three right and dropping him a few spots in the rankings.

Have they got it right for Round 8 or are some of them way off the mark?

   Paul Kent's top tips:

   Score so far: 37 

No brainer: Broncos will have too much for a Souths outfit that is struggling through the middle.

Upset: The Warriors seem to enjoy playing at AAMI, splitting results 3-3 with the Storm, but I just couldn't quite tip them.

Coin toss: The Roosters are on the rise, but still hard to choose between them and Dragons.

   Paul Crawley's top tips:

   Score so far: 36 

No brainer: Tough round but stick with the Broncos at home.

Upset: I've gone Parra over Cowboys in Townsville.

Coin toss: Dragons over the Roosters an a tight Anzac Day clash.

   Nick Walshaw's top tips:

   Score so far: 36 

No brainer: Brisbane. Again.

Upset: Wests Tigers to end their run of losses in Canberra.

Coin toss: Dragons/Roosters. We'll take the Bondi Boys ... with absolutely zero confidence.

   Barry Toohey's top tips:

   Score so far: 34 

No brainer: Souths aren't going anywhere near well enough to beat Brisbane up there.

Upset: Wouldn't surprise if Penrith knock over the Raiders.

Coin toss: Knights a big chance of bouncing back at home against Manly.

   James Phelps's top tips:

   Score so far: 32 

No brainer: The Knights are so legless at the moment, Manly will have a field day. The Sea Eagles 13+ if you're having a Karmichael Hunt.

Upset: The Eels are flying at the moment and if ever they're going to knock off the premiers in Townsville, it's now. Junior Paulo for first try scorer at $34. Gamble responsibly.

Coin toss: Choosing a coin toss match this round is, well, a toss of the coin. But on Anzac Day, anything could happen in the main game. Roosters, just.

   David Riccio's top tips:

   Score so far: 32 

No brainer: Broncos. This team are playing in a class of their own.

Upset: Storm. Historically find the Warriors tough to combat and deserve to start favourites.

Coin toss: Dragons. The traditional Anzac Day clash might be just enough to draw something special out of the Roosters.

   Dean Ritchie's top tips:

   Score so far: 31 

No brainer: It's hard to see Newcastle possibly toppling Manly.

Upset: Storm v Warriors. NZ do have a great record in Melbourne though.

Coin toss: Raiders v Tigers. Canberra should win but Tigers were bold against Melbourne.

   Rebecca Wilson's top tips:

   Score so far: 30 

No brainer: Broncos at home. On fire.

Upset: Sharks v Panthers. Went with Panthers because they are learning how to win the close ones.

Coin toss: Storm v Warriors. I never get this right.

   Phil Rothfield's top tips:

   Score so far: 28 

No brainer: Bulldogs to belt the Titans because they turn up every second week.

Upset: Gone with the favourites although the Warriors could knock off Storm.

Coin toss: Dragons and Roosters will be as tight as any other game.

   Christian Nicolussi's top tips:

   Score so far: 25 

No brainer: Broncos will be too strong against a Bunnies side stuck in second gear.

Upset: Ummm, Tigers, again. They have been in games, and love a trip to Canberra

Coin toss: How Parra are $3.10 for trip to Townsville is a joke. This will go down to wire.
