VIDEO: Watch as Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew does an unusual little dance on the touchline as he tries to lift his players.

FOOTBALL managers are not renowned for being withdrawn on the sideline as they seek to get their instructions through to their players, often by shouting and gesticulating.

On Saturday night against Aston Villa Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew employed a different approach, as the video above shows.

What he was trying to impress upon his players is unclear, but Pardew had little reason to smile by the end of the match, with the 0-0 draw meaning his side is yet to get of the mark this EPL season.
