DUCATI’S season launch has revealed a new livery for its MotoGP bikes for the 2018 world championship.

In a ceremony at Ducati’s factory in Borgo Panigale, Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo showed off the new livery on last year’s Desmosedici, the traditional Ducati red reduced with more white joined by grey bands.

Dovizioso and Lorenzo will once again uphold the Italian squad’s fortunes as it pursues its first world championship since 2007, Dovizioso coming agonisingly close last year.

Michele Pirro and Casey Stoner will once again serve as the factory’s test riders, with Pirro expected to get several wildcard appearances at races this season.

The 2018 season will get underway with the first round of pre-season testing in Malaysia at the end of the month, with two more tests scheduled ahead of the opening race in Qatar in March.
