Logan Paul has popped the question in style — and his proposal has had some very unexpected consequences.

The YouTuber turned-boxer confirmed his engagement with supermodel Nina Agdal by sharing photos on social media on Sunday night.

The photos came with a bizarre call out for Twitter mogul Elon Musk.

The influencer-turned-WWE-superstar proposed to Agdal in Lake Como, Italy, after competing at WWE’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in London last week.

An eyewitness told the Daily Mail that Agdal was “completely blindsided by the proposal and was visibly surprised” when Paul dropped on one knee at the exclusive Hotel Passalacqua.

While the ring apparently did not quite fit on her finger, the couple were nevertheless “visibly overjoyed.”

Paul reportedly had a photographer posing as a waiter, and immediately called his brother, professional boxer and fellow YouTube personality Jake Paul, to tell him “Bro, you have a sister!”

Photos of the big moment have gone viral. Among the big-name celebrities to have sent messages of congratulations are Nick Kyrgios, Bear Grylls and Amanda Cerny.

The situation took a turn when Paul used the proposal as leverage to ask Musk himself to step in and allow his partner back on Twitter. Agdal’s official account was suspended years ago for reasons that remain unknown, however, the ban came at a time when she had been forced to delete images on Instagram for violating the platform’s nudity policies.

In a message that tagged Musk, Paul wrote: “My fiancé got her Twitter suspended years ago and wants to come back, @elonmusk can you please provide aid”.

The billionaire responded: “Should be fixed now”.

Paul finished the conversation with a cheeky offer: “Thanks boss, you’re invited to the wedding”.

The pictures of the proposal were captioned: “Engaged to my best friend”.

The pair also shared more details on their Instagram stories.

“It wasn’t just a dream. I get to marry the boy of my dreams, my best friend, my rock, my soulmate. I love you soooo much,” Agdal wrote on Instagram.

Paul posted: “I love this girl to infinity and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”

The couple first went Instagram-official in December, when Paul posted a series of photos with the caption “lucky me.”

Agdal followed up on her account a few weeks later on New Year’s Eve, sharing more photos with Paul, alongside the caption, “2022, the beginning of me and you.”

Paul has 23.6 million subscribers on YouTube, 25.9 million followers on Instagram and 17.7 million followers on TikTok.

He has impressed as a performer in WWE, where he is a natural heel on the microphone and more acrobatic in the ring than just about anyone could have anticipated.

Agdal, who hails from Denmark, appeared on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’s 50th anniversary cover alongside Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen.

She also starred in a Carl’s Jr. Super Bowl commercial in 2013, and graced the cover of Maxim in 2017.

Agdal had previous relationships with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
