A national record-breaking teenager and a homegrown duo destined for bigger things have stolen the show at the SA Short Course Swimming Championships.

Ellysia Oldsen and Thomas Lightfoot also shone, scooping the best female and male individual performance awards during the three-day meet in their home pool.

The talented trio’s impressive displays, along with every race from the event, were exclusively live streamed to a global online audience via the advertiser.com.au website.

Vincent, just 14, broke the short course records in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle, as well as the 100m individual medley.

The Norwood swimmer boosted her Tokyo Paralympics hopes by winning nine gold medals at the meet to claim the Matthew Cowdrey Trophy for best multi-class performance.

Fellow para-athlete Jasmin Fullgrabe also excelled, posting a new national record for the S9 200m freestyle.

Oldsen edged out Olympians Leiston Pickett and Madi Wilson to be named top female, after winning the 50m freestyle, 50m and 100m backstroke, 50m and 100m butterfly, and 100m IM.

The strong showing by the Whyalla-raised competitor, who represented Australia at the 2018 FINA World Cup in Tokyo, will have pushed her case for more national team action.

Rio 2016 swimmer Wilson broke the SA open record for the 100m freestyle and took out the 400m freestyle event.

Lightfoot, 18, medalled in seven open events and took home six age titles.

He also set a new state record for the 18 years 400m IM.

Kalyce Pressler (Silver City) and Clancy Luscombe (Marion) earned the top female and male points tallies, while Marion was the highest scoring club.

The 14 years and over event followed last weekend’s 13 and under titles, which were also live streamed by The Advertiser.
