The Under-18s boys dominated the action on field one at the Pacific Youth Rugby Championships, but one team has stood out among the rest.
Defending champions Queensland Fiji sent a reminder to the rest of the competition about their potential after knocking off Queensland South Africa 52-5.
Impact player Taukie Israel Maile scored an impressive double for the boys in blue as they reignited their Under-18 title hopes on Saturday.

The Fiji side got a good look at their potential opposition come finals time with tournament newcomers All Nations Rugby NT continuing their impressive start to the weekend while the AU Superstars bounced back into the winner’s circle.
Impressive NT fullback Marlon Ryan-Frost added to his try-scoring tally as the side blew past a spirited Queensland Royals side 17-5.
It was a tough day for the Royals who also came up narrowly short against fellow newcomers Te Tai Tokerau Native (New Zealand) 17-7 on Saturday.

The boys in green and gold weren’t leaving their result up to chance with six individual try-scorers crossing the stripe in an empahtic 30-7 win over Queensland South Africa.
The Under-18 boys action capped off a big second day on field one which also included wins for the Au Superstars under-18 girls, the Queensland Kiwi under-14 girls and the Gold Coast Tonga under-14 girls.

The race to finals is well and truly alive as the action at the Pacific Youth Rugby Festival heats up on Saturday.
The tournament, which kicked off on Friday, has already been full of terrific tries, huge hits and memorable individual moments.

The Pacific Youth Rugby Festival will play host to tournament newcomers Queensland Indigenous and Pasifika, Nations United North Queensland and Territorian raiders All Nations Rugby NT.
Meanwhile tournament regulars Queensland Kiwi, AU Superstars and Gold Coast Tonga have expanded their efforts across most ages and divisions.
