Live stream: How to watch the Tennis Australian Junior Teams Championships

The best young tennis players across the country are joining forces with their state mates for the biggest teams competition in the country. Find out who is on court and how to watch it LIVE.

The best young tennis players in the country will be flying the flag for their respective states across a massive fortnight of action this winter.

The National Teams Championship will descend on the Gold Coast over the next two weeks, as athletes battle for national glory across Under-11 and Under-13 age groups from Friday before the Under-15s team tournament gets underway from June 27.

KommunityTV will exclusively live stream the action from both teams’ tournaments as part of our year-long partnership with Tennis Australia. The coverage will include all the action from the show court throughout the round robin action before expanding to two courts on the finals day.

The National Teams Championships will be played in a similar format to professional teams events like the Davis Cup or Billie Jean King Cup, with teams facing off in a series of singles and doubles matches as part of an overall tie.

Each tie will include two singles matches and one doubles match, with the team who wins the best of the three matches taking the points from the tie.

Players will represent their state team during the tournament, with every state across Australia represented along with teams from New Zealand and Pacific Oceania.

In the 10-team format all singles matches will be played as best of two sets with a match tie-break in the round robin games, while playoff and finals matches will be best of three sets. All doubles matches will be a best of two sets with a match tie-break.

The Under-13 boys teams will play off for the Sproule Stephens Cup while the Under-13 girls will contest the Mary Hawton Trophy.

In the Under-15s the girls and boys will join forces to compete for the joint Reid Cup for the best overall state through the tournament.
