NSW Combined Independent Schools and Queensland have both booked semi-final spots after finishing the pool stage undefeated.
Meanwhile NSW Combined High Schools pulled out a moment to remember to squeeze past rivals Queensland in a golden point thriller on Tuesday.
In the moment of the day, it was exciting playmaker Waiaria Ellis, fresh off making her debut for the Wallaroos on Saturday, who stole the show for NSW.
With seconds to go in the first period of extra time, Ellis over-called her halves partner to demand the ball, drew two defenders and sent the ball whizzing on the outside to deliver the final blow through centre Sharon Latapu.
Check out all the Day 2 replays below. Scroll down to find out what we learned and see our top players of the day.

THINGS WE LEARNED
RAIDERS PICK UP DIAMOND IN ROUGH
Ezra Leota is proof there is still a lot of faith put in hard work.
The livewire dummy-half made a massive impression on day two in Coffs Harbour, helping spirit Queensland to a 32-12 win over the Combined Affiliated States.
Leaving an impression has been a hallmark of the tenacious dummy-half’s game.
Leota made the bold move to travel to Sydney to play SG Ball Cup for Parramatta this season despite not having a contract with the blue and golds.
It was a leap of faith which paid off in spades when an unlikely suitor in the Canberra Raiders offered him a contract at the end of the competition.
The Raiders have a proud history of picking up unwanted talent from the Sunshine State and turning them into NRL regulars like Xavier Savage, Corey Horsburgh and Maroons legend Josh Papalii.
If his work at the ASSRL Nationals is anything to go by, Leota could be another in that vein.
Things happen around the Mabel Park product, and it was no surprise that Queensland kicked clear of their rivals when Leota returned for his second stint.
GRANTHAM REPAYING THE FAITH
It was a long-term deal that sunk the hopes of Rugby Australia, but Callum Grantham is quickly proving the Sharks were on the money.
The versatile NSW CIS playmaker was squarely in the sights of the 15-man code before he inked a four-year deal to remain in the Shire.
The Newington College product was a star on day two of the ASSRL Nationals, reverting back to fullback for the NSW CIS side as they powered past the ACT 36-16.
The added space at the back allowed Grantham the opportunity to flex his creativity, exploiting the numbers advantage on the short side on more than one occasion as he helped set-up winger Cyrus Bloomfield for a hat trick.
Reigning Harold Matts player of the year Carter Mareko showcased his impressive footwork at the line, stepping through the ACT defence on his way to a double.
NSW CHS GOLDEN FINISH
A Sharon Latapu try in golden point has driven a dagger through the hearts of the Queensland girls.
The Maroon faithful had fought their way back into the contest against NSW CHS, scoring two tries in the final five minutes of the game to send it to Golden Point.
But when the moment needed a classy hand, up stepped NSW CHS playmaker Waiaria Ellis.
Fresh off earning her first test cap for the Wallaroos in New Zealand, Ellis starred for the sky blues, scoring a try of her own and icing the win by setting up Latapu for the match-winner.
It was a game that could’ve just as easily belonged to inspirational Queensland halfback Evelyn Roberts, who had scored a double including a barge over in the final minute to give Queensland a shot.
Torah Luadaka had a chance to seal the win with a conversion after the siren, but narrowly missed to the inside of the posts.
The NSW CHS side will now take on NSW CIS in Tuesday’s semi-finals after the CIS side powered past Northern Territory in a dominant performance.
PEACE OF BRUTALITY
Her ACT side might have missed out on playing in the finals in Coffs Harbour, but it was not for a lack of trying from dynamo middle-forward Neveah Peace.
While she gives up plenty of size to her rivals in the middle of the park, the Erindale College doesn’t show it in her efforts.
The daughter of ex-NSW Cup centre and Canberra Regional Rugby League sledgehammer, Willie Peace, Neveah pulled off a couple of bone rattlers in the loss to NSW CCC that would have brought a tear to her old man’s eye.
The ACT side came up short against a red-hot NSW CCC side which was expertly steered around the park by exciting halves Holly Williams and Skye Spencer.
The NSW CCC wingers reaped the rewards with Stevie Botham and Eliza Taylor both picking up doubles in the 30-6 win.
PLAYERS OF THE DAY
GIRLS
Evelyn Roberts (QLD)
The Queensland halfback will be wondering just how much more she could’ve done in an agonising golden point loss to NSW CHS. Roberts scored two tries and set up another in a consummate performance. The Kiwi youngster signed a two-year NRLW deal with the Bulldogs which starts next year.
Sienna Thomas (NSW CIS)
The impressive young halfback made an immediate impact coming off the bench, sparking the NSW CIS attack as they scored four tries in a blistering 12-minute period. The Central Coast Roosters NSW Women’s Premiership playmaker scored one of her own and had a hand in another as she caused havoc for the NT defence.
Stella Lewis (NSW CCC)
The skipper stood tall for NSW Combined Catholic Colleges with her tough carries and tackle breaking ability coming to the fore in a dominant performance on an edge. The barnstorming backrower showed exactly why the Knights took the plunge to sign her to a three-year NRLW deal earlier this season.
BOYS
Carter Mareko (NSW CIS)
It’s no shock the Sydney Roosters have rushed to lock up the Central Coast product. The exciting halfback has a strong running game, and can step shadows with his footwork. He left the ACT boys guessing on a few occasions, scoring two tries and sealing the deal for the CIS side.
Hayden Watson (Queensland)
The Storm have a proven track record of spotting talent, and they have found a cracker in the Queensland halfback. Watson was impressive in his dissection of a willing CAS side, with his show-and-go causing headaches in the middle of the park.
Cooper Johnston (ACT)
The ACT fullback is deeply entrenched in the Raiders junior systems and it isn’t hard to see why. He has a killer right foot step and an impressive work ethic that defies his flashy side. Johnston gave his side a sniff when they needed it most.
