Sarena Ibrahim scored a hat-trick as Queensland Maroon U15s followed up their impressive win over Victoria with a goal blitz against NSW Country.
The Queenslanders have established themselves as one of the teams to beat with two excellent performances of differing styles.
After showing some defensive substance on Wednesday, they went full throttle against NSW Country as Ibrahim proved tough to stop, while Sienna Chamier Brumpton and Mia Afoa also joined the goalscoring party.
The day kicked with two excellent contests from the U15 Pool A as NSW Metro continued on their winning ways and Capital Football upstaged big round winners Western Australia.
Claire Corbett, Gabriella White, Matilda Dias Wadewitz and Jada Taylor all found the net for the sky blues in a 4-1 success over the Invitational XI.
Meanwhile, two goals from Liliana Altamore and another from Bonnioe Young pasved the way for Capital Football’s first win of the tournament, a 3-2 success over WA.

NSW Metro’s rising stars will aim to double down on a big opening day win when they take on the Indigenous Invitational XI on Thursday.
The sky blues, led by midfielders Zoe Panagopoulos and Abbie Puckett, proved too strong for the ACT on Wednesday and will be determined to conitnue their strong start to the tournament on day two.
The clash against the Invitational XI will headline a big second day of action on the main field at the Home of the Matildas which includes five games across the Under-15 age group.

While they struggled to overcome an exciting Western Australian outfit on the opening day, the Indigenous Invitational side, which is being coached by former Matilda Gema Simon, proved they have the talent to go with the top sides.
Fellow Under-15 opening day winners NSW Country and Queensland Maroon will go head-to-head in what will be an evenly-matched Pool C clash.
Both sides picked up thrilling 1-0 wins over their rivals Victoria White and Tasmania on Wednesday, with the latter two sides also going head-to-head to secure the first win of the tournament.
