In a WA derby, it was Western Australia Metro who picked up a convincing 101-68 win over Western Australia Country in the boys quarter finals.

Andre Dweh claimed an impressive 21 points and five assists, while teammate Samuel Johnson notched 18 points and eight rebounds.

WA Metro remain undefeated in this competition with that victory.

South Australia Metro picked up a well-fought 86-76 win over Western Australia.

Annaliese Elliott put up some very impressive numbers for the winning side with 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Teammates Caitlin Hardin and Lara Gribben also amassed some strong points totals with 17 and 16 respectively.

Queensland South picked up the first quarter-finals victory on court six with a comprehensive 91-51 win over Tasmania in the girls.

Leading tournament point-scorer Olivia Olechnowicz was back at it again for Queensland with a massive 32 points, beating her average of 25.6. Added on top of this was seven rebounds and two assists from the rising star.

Teammate Mya Moke also had a strong 18 points to show for herself.

Brydee Mcpherson had a decent 22-point performance for the losing Tasmania side, as did Matilda Neate with 16 points.

It’s a massive day for Queensland South, South Australia Metro and Western Australia Metro with their boys and girls teams featuring in quarterfinals on Court 6.

The unbeaten Queensland South girls face Tasmania, who grabbed fourth place in a last-game shootout with NSW Country on Thursday. Tassie skipper Matilda Neate continued on her week-long scoring spree with another 26 points.

Fresh from a 29-point win over SA Country, Queensland South boys now face a tough challenge in the last game of the day against an SA Metro side smarting from a heavy defeat to Victoria Metro.

Another team yet to taste defeat, and looking every bit a title candidate, WA Metro boys take on WA Country at 4pm. Seven players posted double figures in the 132-59 demolition of ACT on Thursday, but the week-long performances of Luke Paul, Hunter Hearn and Sam Johnson have been superb.

The WA Metro girls face SA Metro at 2pm in what is shaping as an even contest between two sides who have played well in patches this week.
