The Sabres have clawed their way to a brilliant finish at the Basketball Australia Under-14 Club Championships on Thursday.
The South Australian club enjoyed a double delight to finish their tournament, with both their boys and girls sides winning back-to-back matches against Tasmanian rivlas to close out the tournament on the right note.

Evelyn Bell and Lucy Allen combined for 54 points as the Sabres put Tasmania Southern Kanagroos to the sword in a 71-45 win in the girls Shield 11th-place playoff.
The Sabres boys backed up that effort with a thrilling 78-75 win over the Northern Tigers, as Caleb Dyer drained two threes in a personal haul of 25 points.
Cockburn Cougars also finished their tournament off in fine form, locking in a ninth-place finish in the Shield division with a dominant 48-33 win over Bankstown Bruins.

Kara Donaldson led the way for the Western Australian outfit with 23 points, while Imogen Jones played impressive foil with 14 of her own.

The boys will clash with North Adelaide Rockets in the Shield classification rounds, while their girls side meets the Sutherland Sharks.

The matches are part of a series of classification clashes across a shortened day of action on Courts 5 and 9, which can be exclusively live streamed above.

The action across Courts 5 and 9 will continue in the afternoon session with playoff matches in the Shield division as team’s aim to end their tournaments on the right foot.
