The see-sawing contest had more lead changes than most could count, with both sides heading to the break in front at different stages.
But it was the Boomers who were in front when it mattered most.
Norwood Flames and Keilor Thunder have advanced to the boys championship semi-finals after picking up strong wins in theri quarter-finals.
While the final scores would suggest both sides cruised into the final four, it was anything but a cruise.
The Thunder had to fight tooth and nail to overcome a spirited Willetton side who matched it with their rivals across the first half before an explosive third quarter.
