The Bendigo Braves struck a major blow on the road to the finals, overcoming the might of hometown heroes Casey Cavaliers in a girls Championship boilover.
Molly Beasely (19 points) and Mia Cox (12 points) combined to take down the impressive Cavaliers 66-44 late on Tuesday, in a match that could have serious finals ramifications.
The Cavaliers had earlier made short work of their first foray into the Championship rounds with Gemma Bray playing a starring role in their 57-34 dissection of Logan Thunder.

The Braves now have a chance to top Pool CC and book themselves a quarter-final berth when they clash with Logan on Wednesday morning.
The Cavaliers boys had no such issues in their only Championship game on Tuesday, making short work of NSW top seeds Penrith Panthers.
Big men Mofeoluwa Adio and Mobarede Akingbade again dominated the proceedings for the Cavaliers, racking up 23 and 21 points respectively, in the 97-50 win.
Melbourne Tigers hopes of doing the girls Club Championships double remains well and truly alive after they squeezed their way past Willetton Tigers 44-40 late on Tuesday.

Norwood Flames overcame a brillaint fight from the Canberra boys in a Championship showdown, with Ryder McNamara and Tyler Biscette combining to lead the way in the 68-67 win.
Meanwhile the Frankston Blues made a big statement in the girls Championship division picking up two big wins to lock in a quarter-final spot.
The Blues beat the Central Coast Rebels 52-29 before backing up to deal out an 11-point loss to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

The raps on them pre-tournament were huge, but the Casey Cavaliers have had no issue living up to the hype.
The showcourt will be decked out in the famous Casey blue on Tuesday as the home club goes to work in the Championship rounds.
Both of Casey’s teams reached the Championship division following the split of the tournament teams at the halfway point, and will be determined to put themselves on a path toward finals with a big showing on the showcourt.
The Cavaliers will be an opening double bill on the main court, with their boys going toe-to-toe with NSW top seeds Penrith Panthers, before the girls back it up with a clash against the Logan Thunder.

The Cavaliers girls will return to court one later in the day against the Bendigo Braves, as the girls Championship division takes over for the afternoon session.
But court one isn’t the only court with showstopping action on Tuesday, with court three playing host to its own Championship double-header opening act.

The impressive Norwood Flames out of Adelaide will take on a Canberra side which has shocked the tournament over the opening two days before the Frankston Blues take on NSW top seeds Central Coast Rebels.
There is a host of girls championship action late in the day as well with Manly Warringah Sea Eagles taking on Frankston Blues, while the court one action closes with a huge battle of the tigers between Melbourne and Willetton.
