The final day of the Adelaide Easter Classic produced 20 quality grand final matches, with one club again notching up multiple wins. Catch all the REPLAYS here.

Norwood Flames have once again dominated grand final action at the Adelaide Easter Classic with the home side notching up multiple victories on Easter Monday.

Highlighted by the Flames U21 women champs going back-to-back, the hosts won four of a possible five grand finals for the second straight year.

While the U12 boys went down to Nunawading Spectres in the champs final to start the day, Norwood quickly turned that around with four consecutive wins in the U14 and U18 girls champs, U21 women champs and U21 men A grade deciders.

The U21 women cruised to victory in a 64-21 demolition of BDU Lightning while the U18 girls were also far too strong for Super Mario’s with a 51-31 win.

The U14 girls champs and the U21 men A grade results were much closer, with the Flames winning by nine and 11 points in those matches.

Another major result on Monday for the host state was the Adelaide Warriors smashing of Victoria’s Bulleen Boomers in the U21 Men Champs final.

While the Boomers may have had Victoria’s U20 nationals representitves Ryder Cheesman and Austin Foxwell take the court, the Warriors were far too strong and rode the home town support to romp to a 64-45 victory.

The post-match scenes were just as good with the Warriors swarmed by friends and family to celebrate the win.

More teams and more states are set to feature in a tournament officials hope may be the best edition of the Adelaide Easter Classic yet.

The annual four-day basketball competition is set to return to the courts of South Australia for the Easter long weekend and KommunityTV will broadcast grand final action live and exclusive on Monday, April 21.

Beginning from 8am, 20 deciders will be live streamed from two courts each at the ARC Campbelltown and The Lights Community and Sports Centre.

Described as South Australia’s premier basketball tournament, it welcomes teams from right across the country to compete in divisions from Under-12 through to Under-21.

While the larger states such as Victoria and New South Wales regularly send teams, 2025 will see the Australian Capital Territory and Western Australia compete for the first time.

Tournament director Sue Wood said everything was shaping up for another massive edition of the Classic.

“We are geared up and looking forward to another big tournament,” Wood said.

“It’s great to have KTV on-board for a fifth straight year to showcase our finals match-ups. I’ve got no doubt the finals this year will feature some high-quality basketball that will also be on show from our opening game.”

While competition for finals spots is set to be at an all-time high, Norwood Flames will be the team to beat across multiple divisions after they dominated the courts last year.

The home club walked away with four grand final wins in 2024, including both the Under-18 and Under-21 women’s titles, and will once again field teams in every division across both men’s and women’s competitions.

“The support from the Norwood members is phenomenal and they see this tournament as one that allows them to be really proud of their club,” Wood added.

A new men’s Under-21 champion will be crowned this year with reigning champions the Papa Jax Baked Potatoes, a makeshift team of mates from across South Australia, not listed to be competing in 2025.
