The semi-final showdowns are set.

After a blockbuster third day of action at the Australian Basketball Schools Championships, only four mens and womens sides remain in contention in the top divisions.

Schools basketball powerhouse Lake Ginninderra College remains in contention across both divisions after their men’s side came from behind to avoid a quarter-final scare against Concordia College.

The Lake Ginninderra women’s side had no such dramas, dispatching St Luke’s Grammar comfortably off the back of a triple-double to MVP contender Jessica Petrie.

Victorian giants Rowville Secondary College, who made their intentions clear before the tournament started on Monday, are the only other school to still have both men’s and women’s sides in contention for Championship honours.

The state of Queensland will be well represented in Thursday’s semi-finals action with hometown heroes The Southport School and Brisbane State High flying the flag in the men's division, while Hillcrest College fought through to the final four in the women’s division.
