LIV Golf Adelaide announces Dylan Buckley and Ellidy Pullin as 2024 ambassadors

The fairways at Grange Golf Club are tipped to be even busier this year when the hottest tournament in golf hits town this month.

Up to 50 per cent more fans will flood the fairways at Grange Golf Club for the second edition of LIV Golf Adelaide this month.

New event ambassadors Dylan Buckley and Ellidy Pullin will be among the crowds of 30,000 expected daily for the April 26-28 tournament, up from 20,000 each day last year.

Podcast king and former AFL player Buckley said he’s a “massive golf lover”.

“I’ve been a massive fan of LIV, it’s really changed the game and made it for young people,” he said.

“I’m the quintessential golfer, a hack but I think I’m better than I am. But this is about having some fun with your mates and experiencing top quality golf.”

Pullin, a model, influencer and podcaster, said LIV Golf was a great family-friendly event.

“The atmosphere and the vibe leading up to the event is just so fun. It feels like a music festival and golf spectacle all in one. I can’t wait to bring my kid,” she said of daughter Minnie, her child with late partner, Olympic snowboarder Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin.

It’s hoped the popular duo, signed up by LIV Golf, can help attract more visitors for the tournament. About 40 per cent of all tickets sold for this year’s event have been to interstate and overseas golf fans, which is on par with 2023 figures.

A new corporate facility described as LIV Golf’s answer to Formula 1’s pitlane experience has also been unveiled for the tournament.

The Flight Deck is a two-level viewing gallery where fans can watch the world’s best golfers, including Jon Rahm, Aussie Cameron Smith, Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson, practice their drives right in front of you.

LIV Golf Adelaide executive tournament director Nick Haslam said it’s one of a number of innovations introduced this year to bring crowds up close and personal to the sport’s biggest names.

“It’s meant to be a bit like the F1 pitlane experience, you can have unique experience and get as close to the action as possible,” said Mr Haslam.

“It’s all about more access for more people. You can see how close these stands are to the fairway. All over the course there will be an opportunity for fans to get super close to the action.”

Corporate hospitality is 30 per cent bigger this year, while there are three times as many viewing platforms around the course.

The Fans’ Village has also doubled in size and will include a children’s area for families.

General admission tickets are still available for Friday and Sunday of the event, along with tickets to the Flight Deck, plus a small range of corporate passes.
