Come on South Australia, it’s time to fly as one.

With the Adelaide’s Round 15 clash against Collingwood at the MCG next week shaping up as one of the most important games of the season the call has gone out for Crows fans to hit the road.

Or the air. Or even the railway track.

Whatever it takes to get across the border and help turn the Melbourne Cricket Ground into something that at least resembles friendly territory.

With Collingwood sitting atop the ladder and the Crows just inside the eight, next Sunday’s game will be a test of Matthew Nicks’ charges and their finals readiness.

And that’s why we need to be there with bells on, cheering, waving flags and doing everything we can to get the Crows across the line.

And that’s why The Advertiser is giving four lucky families the chance to go on the ultimate Crows Road Trip, with bus transport to Melbourne, accommodation, spending money and, of course, tickets to the big game. Enter here!

One young Crows fan hoping to make the big trip is Bryce Winmar (yes, he’s related to the legendary Nicky), the Kenilworth Kookaburras’ back line gun who loves Rory Laird.

The six-year-old footy fanatic has never been to Melbourne and said he thought watching the Crows and the MCG would be “really exciting”.

And his margin prediction? “I’d say the Crows by about ... ten hundred points!”

Bryce’s nana Catherine said her grandson was originally a Fremantle Dockers supporter before swapping to the Crows in kindy and never looking back.
She said he loved emulating his idols on the footy field, although there were times when he – like most six-year-olds – had some trouble staying focused.

“He is known for dancing on the field,” Catherine laughed.

“And if he’s bored he’ll lay down and take a little rest. He’s a real character.”

Adelaide Football Club CEO Tim Silvers Crows supporters were the best in the business.

“We are lucky to have some of the most passionate supporters going around and there’s no doubt our players feed off the noise and energy they create,” Mr Silvers said.

“It’s been one of the reasons we’ve been so hard to beat at home this season.”

And he said the club wanted to see plenty of red, blue and yellow at the MCG next Sunday.

“Having not played a game in Melbourne for almost a year, we want as many fans as possible to make the trip with us and get behind the team,” he said. “Momentum is everything in footy and we want to come back after the bye, get a win and keep rolling forward with confidence.”
