Jack Watts has returned to Port Adelaide training a week ahead of schedule.
The 2008 No. 1 draft pick, who endured an underwhelming first season at the Power after his trade from Melbourne, joined in with the Power's 1-4 year players at Alberton Oval on Monday.
Port’s young group is in its second week of training.
The full squad isn't due back until next Monday.
Watts played 19 games this year and averaged a modest 14 disposals, four marks and one goal.
The 27-year-old was joined at training by Brisbane recruit Sam Mayes, who also has come back to pre-season training a week ahead of schedule.
Sam Gray and Brad Ebert were among the Power senior players who trained with the first-to-fourth year men last week.
Former North Adelaide junior Mayes, 24, played 101 games in six seasons for the Lions after being selected at pick 8 at the 2012 national draft.
Delisted rookie Cameron Hewett also is training with Port.
The club has committed to re-rookie him in next week’s draft.
