Donald and Geelong Sunday tips include $9 value bet from the Vincent Malady stable

DONALD

MORPURGO (Race 4 No. 3 – $3.40)

Morpurgo was outsprinted at Bendigo but was solid at Warrnambool before that. Blinkers go back on and he’ll be suited racing handy in a race of little speed.

ANGRY SKIES (Race 6 No. 6 – $2.90)

Angry Skies went down narrowly at Bendigo but will find the Donald Cup to his liking. No reason he won’t be hard to run down again.

MY MATE SONNY (Race 8 No. 1 – $9)

My Mate Sonny improved sharply when not far away at Bendigo second-up. He’ll be much fitter for that and will be thereabouts again.

GEELONG

SUPERIOR ZARA (Race 2 No. 13 – $2.80)

Superior Zara improved when not far away behind a talented type at Sale last time. That form should stand up at Geelong.

NAVAJO WARRIOR (Race 4 No. 2 – $3.40)

Navajo Warrior did a good job when close-up at Warrnambool last time and the winner has won again since. A slight class drop will be perfect for him.
