RACE 1: 12:15PM JOHN MOULE HANDICAP (1200m)
Good ground is all but certain for Sandown on Saturday. Former Kiwi mare IT’S BUSINESS TIME (1) hasn’t raced for over a year but she’s Group 2-placed in her homeland and her jumpouts have been promising. NEW YORK LUSTRE (7) has impressed with both wins this time in and can handle a class rise. MATERIAL DREAMS (5) ran on well at Flemington first-up and will be fitter. SHESALLSHENANIGANS (4) is worth including after her last-start win at Flemington.
SUGGESTED BET: Box trifecta 1, 4, 5, 7

RACE 2: 12:45PM HENLEY HOMES HANDICAP (2400m)
A small field but a tricky race. LE DON DE VIE (1) wasn’t far away at The Valley last month and has had another quiet jumpout since. FIRST IMMORTAL (2) did his best work late at Flemington and will be fitter after four runs this time in. FAME (3) boxed on OK in the straight at Flemington and is looking for 2400m now. NIGHT ENDEAVOR (5) is steadily improving and should go well.
SUGGESTED BET: Small bet Le Don De Vie to win.
MARKET MOVER: Le Don De Vie $6.50 – $5.
RACE 3: 1:20PM ROBERT HUNTER HANDICAP (2400m)
MATRON BULLWINKEL (7) could be ready to win after good efforts over shorter trips at her last two runs. GOLDENSTATEWARRIOR (1) was a strong winner at Geelong and could repeat the effort. MI ROCK ALY (6) will go forward and should be in this for a long way. SAMUEL LANGHORNE (2) gets up to his favourite trip after a steady effort last Saturday.
SUGGESTED BET: Matron Bullwinkel to win.

RACE 4: 1:55PM IVE> HANDICAP (1400m)
EMPRESSIVE ENUFF (4) had no luck when caught wide before boxing on well in a similar race last Saturday and can improve with a softer run. FIRST MATE (6) has performed well at his last two runs and has drawn well. QUEBECK (9) is racing competitively and could again be thereabouts while RUSSIAN METEOR (5) can improve on his last start at Flemington.
SUGGESTED BET: Empressive Enuff to win.
MARKET MOVER: Quebeck $6 – $4.50.
RACE 5: 2:30PM GROUP 3 CHAIRMAN’S STAKES (1000m)
Tough two-year-old race with only two runners having race experience but FORCEOFONE (2) is a first-starter that has shown ability in his jumpouts. SWORD OF LEGACY (6) went well on debut at Flemington and will be better for the experience. JENNI MOO MOO (10) could also show something on debut. HOT SEA (3) has shown plenty of speed in his jumpouts and could fire fresh.
SUGGESTED BET: Brave Design each-way with a saver on Forceofone.
MARKET MOVER: Forceofone $6.50 – $4.50.
RACE 6: 3:05PM QUAYCLEAN HANDICAP (1000m)
A few winning chances here but WINNASEDGE (5) can beat the older horses first-up. He impressed in his spring preparation and has had more time to mature. WOLFLANDS (1) went close at Cranbourne last time and likes 1000m. CADBOLL (3) will be fitter for his solid second on Boxing Day and has drawn well. LUNAR MODULE (12) is going well at the provincials to earn her chance in town.
SUGGESTED BET: Winnasedge to win.
MARKET MOVER: Mighty $7 – $6.50.
RACE 7: 3:40PM MAL SECCULL HANDICAP (HILLSIDE TRACK) (1800m)
This should be a good form race but there was a lot to like about the way MARY ELIZA (9) disposed of her rivals at Mornington and she should measure up. EMPHASIZE (2) was also an impressive winner at Sale and could go on with it. MR VERSE (6) should be suited jumping to 1800m after his last two runs. ENTRUSTING (5) was sound in a small field at Geelong and will be fitter.
SUGGESTED BET: Back both Mary Eliza and Emphasize.
MARKET MOVER: Garnacho $7.50 – $5.50.
RACE 8: 4:15PM SPORTSBET RACE REPLAYS (HILLSIDE TRACK) (1800m)
REVELARE (6) did a good job when overcoming a slow speed to win last Saturday and can repeat the result over 1800m. NISHINO CRESCENT (5) was a strong Flemington winner over this trip and won’t be far away again. NANA’S WISH (9) is racing honestly and should be prominent with only 52.5kg after the claim. SHINY NEW DEEL (7) will be at peak fitness for this and can improve.
SUGGESTED BET: Revelare to win.
MARKET MOVER: Revelare $3.40 – $3.20.
RACE 9: 4:55PM GROUP 3 GEOFFREY BELLMAINE STAKES (1200m)
Deep race but MIRAVAL ROSE (4) can win again after scoring at Flemington last start and having another jumpout since. COEUR VOLANTE (8) hasn’t raced since June last year but her jumpouts have been encouraging. SHE’S BULLETPROOF (9) is going well and should be respected. CHEVAL CHIC (12) wasn’t far away at this level and Flemington and is worth thought.
SUGGESTED BET: Box quinella 4, 8, 9, 12
MARKET MOVER: So Glamorous $13 – $9.
RACE 10: 5:35PM SPORTSBET MORE PLACES HANDICAP (1400m)
LETHAL THOUGHTS (7) has performed solidly in two runs this time in and should have every chance to break through from barrier two. NAME DROPPER (11) will be hard to run down with the fitness gained from his first-up win. IMPENDING LINK (10) wasn’t far away at Flemington and races best over 1400m. SO RISQUE (2) has a tricky gate but is suited back at 1400m.
SUGGESTED BET: Lethal Thoughts to win.
