Vintage Star made it back-to-back wins as Richard and Chantelle Jolly snared a double in a strong outing for the premiership-winning stable at Morphettville on Saturday.
Piloted by in-form Group 1-winning hoop Manoel Nunes, Vintage Star scooted to the lead underneath on-speed galloper Secret War, kicking away at the top of the straight and holding off a fast-finishing Prairie Flower to win a Benchmark 76 (1000m).
The win handed Nunes an eighth metro win in November as he continues to announce himself in Adelaide since relocating from Singapore in October, while Vintage Star – a four-year-old gelding by Starspangledbanner – has now won two from two this campaign.

“(He did) a good job today,” Richard Jolly said post-race.
“He was up, pressured on the speed, he just jumped fairly, he (Nunes) used him up a fair bit to get there, and he kept running.
“He got a bit tired late, the horse is probably getting a bit harder to place now but it’s certainly not a bad problem.”

The Jolly duo had earlier success with Yuri Royale saluting under Taylor Johnstone in race three, while Nunes also scored aboard Victorian invader Panigale for Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr in Saturday’s opener.
Spirit Of Camelot has a bright future, and the four-year-old mare further vindicated that on Saturday, dispatching her rivals with ease in a Benchmark 66 Handicap over 1400m at Morphettville.
Settling third, the daughter of Camelot loomed ominously at the top of the straight, putting her rivals to the sword of the final 100m.
It was a pleasing watch for punters, who heavily supported the mare pre-race, ensuring she jumped a $1.60 favourite with Sportsbet.
Saturday’s win saw Spirit Of Camelot notch back-to-back wins at Morphettville, and the Michael Hickmott-trained mare now has three wins from seven starts as her career takes flight.

That result was the first win of a riding double for gun hoop Todd Pannell, who also notched a win aboard Top Calibre in race two.
Victorian trainer Alex Rae has a handy gelding on his hands in Top Calibre. The son of Written Tycoon cruised to a commanding two-length win in a Handicap over 1250m. Top Calibre is now unbeaten in three starts and made it two successive wins at Adelaide’s headquarters.
Saturday’s blowout results came late in the card, with Millivoy saluting for Paula Trenwith under the steering of Jacob Opperman, before Tembu Boy scored for jockey Emily Finnegan and trainer Glenn Dix. Both gallopers won at $20 quotes on Sportsbet.
A brilliant frontrunning steer aboard Oxlade-trained gelding Nasho handed Johnstone a double in the final race, as she shared riding honours with Nunes and Pannell on the nine-race card.
