BEST BET
Race 4 No. 9: The Mooch
Only won 1 from 27 but there are few more consistent horses racing on the card today.
NEXT BEST
Race 3 No. 15: Bloomin’ Hell
Could be on his way to a P.B in a rather skinny affair.
VALUE
Race 5 No. 8: Bush Telegraph
Was building up to that last start win and can carry on.

RACE 4
The Mooch has won once in 27 starts but she has placed 10 times and seven of those are seconds. It is worth noting that her one run at the Dubbo 1000m before this one was a half-length second to the handy Canamable. Getting so close to winning again. Midnight Dream has five starts at the track/distance for two wins and two placings. Hit the line with gusto last starts as did his stablemate Starane who is usually thereabouts.
Bet: The Mooch to win
RACE 5
Bush Telegraph was building up that win in what was a good quality Benchmark 58 on Narromine Cup Day. The Scott Singleton trained mare had been racing well against good class country Class 1 and 58 style horses before that. This is a 66 today but she can keep on climbing. Magic Pharoah is a Highway winner but it is pretty clear these days that she needs firm tracks. Bong Bong Cup runner-up Titled Tycoon and Sonic Tycoon are players.
Bet: Bush Telegraph to win, Daily Double 1st Leg (8), 2nd Leg (1)
RACE 6
Brutal Love was runner-up in the Wellington Boot Prelude, fourth in the Boot itself, then was a huge third in the $200,000 Inglis Challenge. Won easily first-up on Snake Gully Cup Day at Gundagai, back home now. Bad draw but is a good horse. Arambys will benefit from his first-up win at Narromine. He would win most Class 1’s in the country but has bumped into a potential WRA Championships contender today.
Bet: Brutal Love to win, exacta 2 to beat 7
RACE 7
Hit The Rim finished third to Ms Reeves and Mr Bulls (second) in a 1400m race here last Monday and it seems that all three will be there for Round 2 today. Granted, Hit The Rim has to make up three and a half to win but at least he stays with the same weight whereas the other two just have that little more to carry. Any one of three could win without surprising, could just come down to run of the race stuff.
Bet: Hit The Rim each-way
BEST BET
Race 3 No. 6: Gulf Of Tomini
Suited up in distance, second-up, in a small field. Has performed in better races.
NEXT BEST
Race 7 No. 8: Flying Betty
Debutant from an in-form and astute stable. Has trialled well enough.
VALUE
Race 6 No. 8: Lights Of Paradise
Epic blue blood from the Kris Lees camp with a future well beyond this.
FIELDS AND FORM TUNCURRY MONDAY

RACE 4
Finca is a daughter of So You Think from the same family as the UK’s great miler Markofdistinction and out own Pierro. This is a real ‘classic’ pedigree if ever there was, so now that Finca is at a mile, she should be ready to win. Eclair Dancer is a Tuncurry local now; Terry Evans would have been pleased with her closing fourth at Kempsey over 1450m. Humpty Doo’s C.V is a bit misleading. He has run some all right races in some all right races so he can ‘medal’ here if things pan out for him.
Bet: Finca to win
RACE 5
Dunaloce is trained by Nathan Doyle; three of his last four runners are winners, made up of a Rosehill bookend of Saturday. Doyle addles-up the Dundeel mare Dunaloce here. Granted she has only won once in 16 starts but she has run, by far, more good races than bad. No excuses today. Jack Of Aces does give the impression that 2100m is doable and suitable now. He has some rock solid provincial form. Stylebender thrashed an inferior lot last start. Going well.
Bet: Dunaloce to win, Daily Double 1st Leg (4), 2nd Leg (8)
RACE 6
Lights Of Paradise was scratched from Hawkesbury on Sunday. She’s so well bred that we have to mention it; a $525,000 yearling purchase by I Am Invincible of the stakes winner Rose of Choice. Won debut, second and fourth at the other two runs. Back for the second prep and has trialled well. Savroca is up and running. Been a good campaign thus far, just a little awkwardly drawn today. Threetimesalady and Exorealmn are certainly in the mix.
Bet: Lights Of Paradise to win
RACE 7
Flying Betty is a Widden Stud born and raised daughter of Trapeze Artist. Her dam is a Sepoy daughter of Edward Manifold winner, El Daana. Bought at the Inglis Classic for $90,000, this Nathan Doyle trained filly hasn’t been shown up in either trial but went the best in both. Alfred was always going to be better in his second and third preparations. He ran a big race at huge odds at Scone on debut. He is a definite player here. Doyle’s Missile Charm came from a mile back at Port on debut over 1000m. Gets to 1300m now.
Bet: Flying Betty to win, Alfred to place, box trifecta 5,8,9,13
