INSIDE MAIL – KEMBLA

RACE 1

Mrs Maree had two starts early in 2024 when sixth to Rag Queen at Canterbury then beating one home in the Listed Lonhro Plate at Randwick. Lead all-the-way to win her recent Warwick Farm trial on Jan 3. Sheriff’s Star showed ability with a handy second in his first trial at Rosehill and a debut third to Dumebi here on Aug 10. Resumes as a gelding. Cool Blaze was just caught late by The Pacific on debut this track and distance.

Bet: Mrs Maree to win

RACE 2

Sunday Tycoon kicked off his career with a handy second at Newcastle and was spelled after failing at Wyong two starts later. Resumed with a nice win from subsequent winner Believe In Angels at Wyong on Dec 21. Big track suits. Invincible Madison led all-the-way to win her maiden impressively at Canberra before a pair of third placings over this track and distance. Has 53.5kg after the claim. Ride The River was good in his first campaign with a win and two placings.

Bet: Sunday Tycoon each-way

RACE 3

Tenniel went back-to-back on soft and heavy tracks over 2000m last campaign. Second to Gatchan over 2000m at Canberra last start after leading. Ready to peak third-up. Montgomery jumped from 1600m to 2100m when third at Wyong on Dec 11. Didn’t appreciate the quick back-up a week later when a well beaten fifth at Warwick Farm. Will appreciate the wet track. So Sleek was just beaten by Casual Connection at Rosehill before a fourth at Eagle Farm. Both career wins have been on heavy tracks.

Bet: Tenniel to win

RACE 4

Show Pony improved with each run of his first campaign culminating with a near three length win from Rose’s Legacy on a Soft 5 over 1300m here last June. Was under a hold when second in his Dec 17 trial here. Eastern Front broke his maiden with a handy win from Detendu over 1100m at Wyong last Feb. Had three runs last winter and wasn’t far behind the placegetters. Good third to Willaidow in his Warwick Farm heat on Jan 3. The Pacific has claims on his last start win.

Bet: Show Pony to win

RACE 5

Hey Jude took plenty of improvement from her debut seventh to place at her next three starts and beaten under a length each time. Was runner-up to the unbeaten Puntin two starts back before a closing third to Havasu Falls. Reasonable has placed in six of her 10 starts and surely a maiden win isn’t far away. Boxed on for third to Isla Negra two starts back before a second to Rickythesteamboat on the Beaumont. Moncarolina raced wide when fourth to Rybakina here last start.

Bet: Hey Jude each-way

RACE 6

Cheergal ended last campaign with a big win here from Mega Fight in a Super Maiden over 1600m. Closed well when narrowly beaten by a race fit and in-form Puerto Banus at Muswellbrook first-up. Gets a 3kg claim and can go one better. Lights Of Paradise led all-the-way for a big win in The Pearl when resuming at Tuncurry before a second to Rubi’s Serve on the Beaumont. Drawn nicely and gets a 2kg claim. Tartana was a handy second to Mogwai first-up. Will appreciate the wet track.

Bet: Cheergal to win

RACE 7

California Waves raced wide when fourth to Scoundrel on debut last July. Took benefit from his first-up third at Newcastle and scored a nice win from Swelter to break his maiden at Hawkesbury. Battled away for third to Tomba over 1500m here last start. Gone Bananas missed the start badly on debut but made up good ground when beaten two-and-a-half length into seventh by Spanish Fox. Stepped better to sit midfield to score second-up. Kept under a hold back in the field in both recent trials. Satness drops in grade from his eighth to Justela in a Rosehill Midway on Dec 7.

Bet: California Waves each-way

RACE 8

Cuban Rain made good ground from well back when sixth to Alinea at Canterbury before a very good second to Rybakina under similar circumstances here last start. Will be strong late. Rebel Rhapsody is improving with each run. Was narrowly beaten by Artifactx after racing outside the leader here last start. Format will strip fitter from his first first-up third behind Pretty Powerful on the Beaumont Dec 26. Wide gate is a query.

Bet: Cuban Rain each-way
