Dubbo flyer Gallant Star was in a race of his own after making a mess of his rivals with a dominant victory in the $250,000 Barn Dance (1300m) at Royal Randwick.
The Brett Robb-trained galloper, owned by former Australian cricketer and media figure Kerry O’Keeffe, produced a powerful turn of speed to race away with the lucrative sprint.
Gallant Star ($3) powered away late to score from the Donna Scott-trained Our Last Cash ($31) and Scott Singleton’s Melody Again ($12).
