INSIDE MAIL – CANTERBURY

RACE 1

Cinsault rolled forward to sit outside the leader when third behind Good Sort at Canterbury

last start. Was unlucky when held up behind runners when third at Warwick Farm

the start prior. Wide gate the only query. Rybakina settled midfield and worked

to the line nicely to finish a close second behind Good Sort on debut here two

weeks ago. Gets another nice run from the same gate. Retainer is a debutant by

Fastnet Rock from the Eight Carat family. Trialling nicely.

Bet: Cinsault to win

RACE 2

Khaznah is knocking on the door after placing in all six starts. Beat all bar Tartaglia in a Super Maiden for two and three-year-olds at Warwick Farm on June 5 before a half-length second to Summer Loving here two weeks ago. Jawharat Dubai tracked the leader and got an inside run on straightening before being caught late by Charming Legend on the Kensington on June 12. Our Diamond Lil was doing her best work on the lien when third to Plaza on debut over 1100m at Hawkesbury on June 18.

Bet: Khaznah to win

RACE 3

She’s Unusual showed her love for heavy tracks when she resumed with a near three and a half-length win from California Sunrise over 1400m at Newcastle on June 15. She won her debut in New Zealand and was a half-length second to Zarrose on heavy ground. Is second emergency here and also in Race 7. Vomo Island was a handy second behind Tartana at Kembla on May 28 before returning over 1500m with a nice win from Fire Tribe. Untried on the heavy but never missed a place on soft ground. Autumnmation and O’Ziggy are racing well and have strong claims.

Bet: She’s Unusual to win or, if scratched, Vomo Island to win

RACE 4

Diamond Model resumed with a third to Cigar Flick in Saturday grade at Rosehill before racing wide without cover from the 700m when a head second to Iron man here last start. Kitty Chat was a close second to Joliestar on debut before beating Llanddwyn in a maiden at her second start here on Jan 1. Drawn the outside but will roll forward. Trialling very well. Llanddwyn stepped a little slow from the pole before finishing a length third to One Destiny again at Warwick Farm over 1100m. Is a winner this track and distance.

Bet: Diamond Model each-way

RACE 5

Yasuke kicks off his preparation after two smart trials at Rosehill. Kept under a hold when making ground for a half-length fourth to More Secrets on June 11. Was a winner on debut. Silentsar resumed last campaign with a third to Royal Merchant at Wyong before finishing down the track at the Gold Coast and seventh at Warwick Farm after a wide run on Feb 7. Scored a good win at this track first-up the previous campaign. Won his Rosehill trial on June 11. Oakfield Duke has race fitness on his side and is in fine form.

Bet: Yasuke to win

RACE 6

Chief Conductor was a little slow away and settled last of the 14 and was still seeing them all passing the 150m before closing strongly to finish about a two and a half length fifth behind Fleetwood when resuming at Randwick on June 8. He normally settles closer to the speed and drawn to race handier. Delexo was fractious in the gates and began awkwardly when well back behind Yiska in a Midway at Rosehill before a third to impressive winner, Compelling Truth, in the Cannonball at Dubbo. Oceans One has placed second in both runs here and will be prominent again.

Bet: Chief Conductor to win

RACE 7

She’s Unusual is also an acceptor here. She will be hard to beat in whichever race she runs. The Creator is in terrific form winning three of his last four starts. Sat outside The Little Pumper before coming away late to win well at his first Sydney start here on June 19. Gets in well with the 3kg claim of Molly Bourke. Chasing a hat-trick after wining at Warrnambool before heading north. All In The Mind was put away after his first Australian start when fifth at Warwick Farm on Feb 8. Resumed with a handy second to Elsie May over this track and distance on June 10.

Bet: She’s Unusual to win or, if scratched, The Creator to win
